Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has been delayed

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, which was planned for a release at the end of 2017, has been delayed to 2018. Kazutoki Kono, Ace Combat’s franchise director mentioned that he and his team, Project ACES, were working hard for achieving their vision and goals but because of these efforts, it means they can’t get the game ready at the end of 2017. As they take their art very seriously, it means they’ve instead chosen to devote additional time and effort to perfect and optimize the newest chapter of the Ace Combat saga.

Combining the power of the Unreal 4 Engine, the current generation consoles and PC hardware has literally opened a “skies of opportunity” to develop the best Ace Combat experience to-date. At no other time in a more than 20 year history of Ace Combat, has gaming technology allowed them to deliver the minute details of flight combat, such as cloud cover and air currents or give players a new way to experience dogfights and attack sorties through hardware such as the new PlayStation VR. They’re thanking everyone for the continued support and patience.

More information and details will be revealed in the coming months. As for E3 2017, they will reveal a brand-new demo showcasing one of the non-VR missions in Ace Combat 7 for the first time ever.

Being over 30 years old, I've been playing videogames since I've exchanged my pacifier for a game controller. I've only recently started reviewing games and it's incredibly fun to do and educational as I get to know a lot of new stuff about videogames and the industry. My favourite game genres are RPG's(strategy RPG, J-RPG,...), adventure, platforming, simulation and retro.
