Blizzard Entertainment reveal Diablo Immortal

Blizzard Entertainment have revealed the latest instalment in the Diablo series: the mobile MMO action-RPG game Diablo Immortal for Android and IOS-devices. For the first time ever you’ll be able to join the battle on your mobile phone.

Six familiar and highly customizable Diablo character classes will be playable in this new mobile adventure: Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer and Wizard. Each class has new powers and abilities, with more classes to be released in the future. In order to create a living experience, Diablo Immortal will regularly get new storylines, classes, loot and all-new challenges, which can be faced with your friends or on your own.

The city of Westmarch will be the central hub of Sanctuary, where players will be able to meet and socialize with other players whilst wandering around or taking care of less dangerous business, like upgrading gear, crafting items, or forming groups to take on new adventures.

The transition from a computer or controller based experience to mobile touchscreen device has been designed to feel natural and intuitive. Directional controls make moving heroes around the world easy, and activating a skill is as easy as holding your thumb down on your screen to aim and letting go to give your enemies a piece of hell.

Diablo Immortal takes place between the end of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and the beginning of Diablo III. The demon known as Skarn, Herald of Terror – Diablo’s strongest lieutenant – will be leading the invasion of Sanctuary. He will be leading a whole new demonic army, and intends to gather the fragments of the corrupted Worldstone in order to bring Diablo back to life.
