Call of Duty: Strike Team

Call of Duty: Strike Team

Call of Duty has become a massive franchise this console generation so it’s a little surprising that Activision hasn’t branched out the game into other genre’s yet. Not for lack of trying I assure you as rumors have spread over the past couple years about Activision trying to push forward games under the Call of Duty umbrella in non-FPS genres. Such as Sledgehammer’s supposed action-adventure title in the Call of Duty series and the Vicarious Vision developed RTS.

We are starting to see bits and pieces of those cancelled games and most recently we’ve gotten a chance to have a taste thanks to the newly released iOS game Call of Duty: Strike Team.

As the game’s name implies Strike Team is structured similarly to the Strike Missions that were in Black Ops 2, giving you the ability to move around and control your units from a top down perspective similar to an RTS game. Like the Strike Missions you can at any time you want jump into the body of a unit to control them from the first person, giving up your tactical view to instead play it more like a normal mission in Call of Duty.

Call of Duty: Strike Team is available now for iOS devices for $6.99 on the appstore.
