Darksiders III announced for 2018!
The hack-n-slash action adventure Darksiders III is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. THQ Nordic announced that the game is planned to be released in 2018. For this release, THQ Nordic is working together with the team at Gunfire Games, which is largely comprised of the original creators of the Darksiders franchise.
Darksiders III is set in the same setting and around the same time as the events of Darksiders II. The hero of Darksiders III is the unpredictable and enigmatic mage Fury, one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. The game will follow Fury on her quest to an apocalyptic Earth to hunt down and destroy the physical representations of the Seven Deadly Sins, who are ravaging the planet. The Charred Council calls upon Fury to battle from the heights of heaven down through the depths of hell in a quest to restore humanity, and to prove that she is the most powerful of the four horsemen. Fury relies on her whip, her claws, and her magic to restore the balance between good and evil.
The expansive game world is presented as an open-ended, living planet Earth that is marked by war and decay, and overrun by nature. Fury will move back and forth between environments to uncover secrets while advancing the story.
