Das Tal a PvP sandbox MMORPG hits Kickstarter

Das Tal is a game that features many mechanics of many different genres which makes it hard to set a specific category to the game. In short, Das Tal is a PvP-driven open world MMO with hints of battle arena styled combat that will without a doubt remind you of games such as Dota 2 and League of Legends. However, Das Tal cannot be compared to the previous mentioned games as it is a complete new genre created specifically for adult gamers with families and jobs. With Das Tal, the small independent game development studio Fairytale Distillery tries to tackle the problematic aspects of traditional MMO’s, namely the lack of time due to real-life time constraints.

Besides being a unique mash-up of on its own successful genres, Das Tal offers plenty of even more unique features which will hopefully tackle the previous mentioned problematic aspects of traditional MMO’s. Here’s a short overview of what the game has to offer:

  • Time-boxing causes all game worlds to end after a pre-determined amount of time which removes the dire need for ‘end-game’ content.
  • Instead of offering a pointless grind, Das Tal offers a more enjoyable day-to-day experience.
  • A modern skill-based PvP combat system where abilities are free-aimed and fully friendly-fire.
  • In combination with the time-boxing feature, the game offers hundreds of unique worlds to venture in.

Obviously, none of these words can truly justify the beauty that is Das Tal and you’ll have to see if for yourself by heading over to the Kickstarter campaign page or you can simply view the kickstarter pitch video down below.
