DinoSystem roars its way onto Kickstarter

The upcoming release of Jurassic World may have stirred your inner dinosaur lover. What better way to indulge these feelings than to play a video game centered on these magnificent creatures?

At least, that’s what CapriByte Studios may have thought when starting on the development of DinoSystem, which puts players in control of the very ecosystem that allowed them to flourish. Its so-called God mode will allow full control over the environment, tasking you with the maintenance of a world filled with dinosaurs. Their survival depends on the amount of sunlight, food, water, sleep and of course mating opportunities are available.

If playing God sounds too megalomaniacal, the Survival mode hopes to have you covered. Here, you join this – suddenly hauntingly dangerous – ecosystem as a human, trying to play and survive your part in this Darwinian struggle to survive. This won’t exactly be a cakewalk, considering the devs have announced that players will have to take into account their body temperature, health and their hunger and thirst levels, all while keeping track of their physical activities to ensure that their character grows according to their plans.

CapriByte is currently running a Kickstarter campaign with which they are hoping to gather $5000. At the time of writing, with 23 days to go, they have reached almost a fifth of that sum, having collected $885. If they reach their stretch goal of $7500, another Survival mode will be added, casting you in the role of a dinosaur. If you’re interested in backing the game or if you want to check out its many features, you should definitely check out their Kickstarter page. Just watch out for roaming chickens… They grew big in the Cretaceous period.
