Embrace nature and art with the upcoming free update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Step up your island life game with nature and art with the upcoming free update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Nintendo Switch. This update brings new, seasonal events to the island, giving islanders diverse art exhibitions, an expanded museum, new flora, and some new faces. This and other updates later this year will add new experiences to the game so players can keep enjoying the game for a long time.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Free Update will be available on April 23, 2020, and it will bring you both permanent content as well as temporary events:

Leif’s Garden Shop – Nature lover Leif is back! From time to time, Leif will visit your island to sell his lush assortment of garden supplies, including seeds for flowers and shrubs.
Jolly Redd’s Treasure Trawler – Redd is ready to drop by with his boat to sell art and uniquely colored furniture. This colored furniture will not available in Nook’s corner. As in previous Animal Crossing games, players here have to re-figure out which pieces of art are real and which are fake. If you have purchased a real work of art, you can donate it to the museum for display. At this exhibition, you will find all kinds of art, from paintings to sculptures.
Nature Day (April 23 – May 4) – When Nature Day occurs, you can take on special Nook miles challenges, among other things. The objectives are focused on nature. For example, planting trees or watering flowers.
May Day Trip (May 1 – May 7) – In the first week of May, players can use a one-time May Day ticket at the airport to join a May Day trip to an island that will look different from what you are used to from other trips. You might also bump into an old acquaintance.
International Museum Day (May 18 – May 31) – In honor of International Museum Day, players can participate in a stamp race. After getting the special stamp card, you can go admire fish, insects, and fossils while collecting stamps at various exhibitions to earn an in-game reward.
Wedding Season (June 1 – June 30) – In the month of June, players can visit Harvey’s Island to meet married couple Reese and Cyrus. You can also help them take wedding photos with them in the photo studio. As a token of appreciation, the couple gives you special wedding-style items.
