Home Release – The Knick: Season 1
In this new drama series, we see how a brilliant surgeon John Thackery (Clive Owen) almost crosses boundaries in regards of medical science, morals and the troubles surrounding race in 1900. The Knick is a hospital in downtown New York sees financial problems popping up because a lot of moneylender abandoned the premises and the clientele mostly consist of the poorest among civilians.
One of the heroes in The Knick who stayed behind to look after those in need is Thackery. He tries to solve the most difficult medical issues whilst slowly developing a cocaine addiction. On top of that, he has to work together with the young doctor Algernon Edwards (André Holland), whose ambitious nature doesn’t look very compatible with Thackery’s way of working.
The Knick: Season 1 will release on the 16th of September and the series will come out on DVD and Blu-ray.
