KOEI TECMO announces a release date, pre-order bonuses and a playable demo for Arslan: The Warrior Of Legend
Koei Tecmo Europe brought forth a tsunami of new information on the release of Arslan: the Warriors of Legend. A first surprise is a new game mode. In addition to the action packed gameplay known from the Warriors series’, Arslan: The Warriors of Legend incorporates a new game mechanic :the Mardan Rush. This action is specifically intended to fall into place in the ‘The Heroic Legend of Arslan’, as players are encourage to decimate out entire enemy hordes by means special ‘Rush’ units (mounted, ranged, or melee). Next to the new Mardan Rush giving players control over army units, new battle moves for the individual characters, such as the Chain Strike, are also announced in a new trailer (see below this post). Chain Strike brings a new level of strategy to the game. It is now possible to swap the characters weapon types in real time, during combat.
But it doesn’t end there. Koei Tecmo also presented a collection of exclusive bonus content made available to players upon pre-ordering Arslan: The Warriors of Legend. These pre-order rewards will depend on the retailer. For example, pre-orders through CentreSoft will include a special weapon and armour set for Daryun, Arslan’s most trusted guardian. Players that have ordered the game at GAME will receive an extra scenario called ‘Conflict at Gujarat Fortress’. Customers of ShopTo.net or the PlayStation®Network will also receive an additional scenario called ‘Battle for the Title’. Both pre-order scenarios give the player a chance to obtain Limited Skill Cards.
As if fans were not spoiled enough, Koei Tecmo threw in two brand new playable characters. Jaswant, the spy warrior and Kubart, the veteran cavalry member.
Arslan: the Warriors of Legend is currently scheduled for release across Europe on February 12th 2016 for the PlayStation®3 ,PlayStation®4 and Xbox One.
