Mathland sails onto Switch

Artax Games’ educational game Mathland will arrive on the Nintendo Switch later this month. The pirate-themed isometric action mathematical quest is aimed at kids and has the lofty goal of improving their mathematical skills. Kids play as Ray the pirate, as they’ll plow through the oceans on a quest to find gems that restore the natural order of things. The evil pirate Max has stolen these gems, cursing the islands and filling them with traps and obstacles. Ray must sail to each island to complete challenges, with the help of his trusty spyglass.

Mathland is aimed at children ages 5 and up, with a variety of difficulty levels divided by age group. With more than 25 levels to explore, kids will encounter bewitched parrots, volcanoes, puzzle games, magic doors, carnivorous plants and more as they solve mathematical problems. The game is set to release on February 24th (even though the trailer below claims otherwise).
