Mega-evolutions in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire announced

In a little more than a month, Pokémon-fans can rejoice with two new titles in the Pokémon franchise, namely Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby. As of today, it is also known that players can get their hands on the legendary Pokémon’s Latios and Latias in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire respectively. Both Pokémon’s can Mega-evolve and fly high in the sky above the Hoenn region. Trainers can travel in this region by jumping on the backs of their Mega Latios and/or Mega Latias which brings forth a new traveling method named Soar. There is a slight catch however. In order to be able to catch these legendary Pokémon’s, one must have an Eon-ticket which will give players access to the Southern Island. Any information on when and how to obtain these tickets are not known yet. We can tell you that there are two new mega-evolution Pokémon’s, namely Mega Pidgeot and Mega Beedrill. Who wouldn’t want to see their beloved Pidgeot evolve into a powerful creature that can learn the attack Hurricane.

Last, but certainly not least, players will be able to navigate through the Hoenn region with the PlayNav Plus. This unique tool has been purely developed to help players navigate through the Hoenn region. The PlayNav offers three popular functions such as the Player Search System, the Pokémon-Amie and the Super Training. Additionally, one can now find Pokémons that are hiding in the tall grasslands with the DexNav, the AreaNav and by keeping up-to-date with the local Hoenn-news via the BuzzNav.

As of tomorrow, owners of the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS handhelds can play a demo version of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. In this demo versions, trainers can fight against Sceptile, Blaziken or Swampert and experience the mega-evolve firsthand.
