Game developer Hidden Fields and publisher MWM Interactive have given insights for their new title Mundaun, a folklore-inspired horror adventure game. The game is scheduled to be released across multiple platforms such as the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on March 16. The Switch’s release, which is set to be in April, will take some extra time as founder Michel Ziegler wants – “To ensure that every facet of the Mundaus’s vibrant hand-penciled world is properly brought to life for its newly-announced console.”

Mundaun is a survival horror story that follows the footsteps of a young man named Curdin, who travels to a dismal and secluded valley in the Alps in search of clues behind his grandfather’s mysterious death. In that search for clues, he finds out that there is something hidden behind the town of Mundaun that haunts its residents. Setting off to get to the bottom of it all, the player will have to demonstrate some intricate puzzle-solving abilities while avoiding a sinister character that triggers the game’s fear system, a “cause-and-effect” feature that disorients players when facing dangerous situations.
