New expansion for Cities: Skylines released

Paradox Interactive has released a new expansion for Cities: Skylines, namely Natural Disasters. The expansion is now available from digital retailers worldwide for PC, Mac and Linux systems for the price of 14,99 € or its local equivalent.

The new expansion adds a plethora of new features to the base game that is Cities: Skylines. The features include new systems for disaster alerts and response, and of course the disasters themselves are introduced to the game. These disasters can occur randomly, or can be triggered by monstrous mayors who have no connection with their citizens whatsoever. To top it off, the game has been updated with a free Scenario Editor that allows players to design custom game objectives. They can also share their scenarios via the Steam Workshop. A new in-game radio station with city-building tunes has been added as well. Players who own the new expansion will be able to hear emergency broadcasts and early warning via this in-game radio. But enough about the disastrous expansion, let’s see the trailer that bundles all the disasters of Armageddon, The Day After Tomorrow and 2012 in one sitting.
