New StarCraft II arcade maps available with patch 4.3.0

The launch of patch 4.3.0 has added new arcade maps to StarCraft II made by prominent community creators: Ark Star and Direct Strike. These two high-quality premium arcade maps each offer different kinds of experiences. When purchased, a share of the sales will go directly to the developers who made them.

Ark Star is created by Daniel “Pirate” Altman. Ark star is a new, tactical turn-based RPG featuring the Protoss. This adventure follows the Sol Seekers, an elite team of Templars on a mission to find and destroy the Ark Star, a powerful mysterious weapon. Discover and craft new equipment to strengthen your team, level up and unlock new abilities and talents to customize your gameplay.

Direct Strike, created by “Tya” is the next evolution of Direct Strike HotS, one of StarCraft II’s most popular arcade maps up till now. Direct Strike pits players against each other in a tactical “tug of war.” Build units to spawn inside your staging area to attack your enemy’s base in waves.

Direct Strike will remain free but there’s also the option to upgrade to a premium version that adds cosmetics and new modes to enhance your experience.  Direct Strike will replace the original Direct Strike HotS in the arcade but everything already available will still be present, even for free players. The premium upgrade will add four all-new game modes and you’ll also get access to new cosmetics that add some flair to your staging area and your workers.

These maps will be available soon when the new patch 4.3.0 is launched.
