Official Cyberpunk 2077 Cosplay Contest announced

CD PROJECT RED is inviting gamers, cosplayers and fans to participate in the official Cyberpunk 2077 Cosplay Contest. It goes without saying that the challenge is to create the most authentic cosplay from an existing Cyberpunk 2077 character. Crafting these costumes requires quite some research into the details, and most can be found in trailers, gameplay video’s, screenshots and even sketches of the game. However, if these do not provide enough insights, official Cyberpunk 2077 character guides will be soon available.

Cosplayers can participate by signing up via the official cosplay competition website, which you can find here, or by participating in the offline qualification rounds. The offline qualifications will take place worldwide on various dates;

  • Gamescom (Cologne, Germany), August 21 to 24
  • PAX West (Seattle, USA), August 30 to September 2
  • Tokyo Game Show (Tokyo, Japan), September 12 to 15
  • Igromir (Moscow, Russia), October 3 to 6
  • Paris Games Week (Paris, France), October 30 to November 3

In total there will be 10 finalists, 5 each from the online and offline qualification rounds, who will show their cosplay live on stage somewhere next year. The exact location and dates will be announced early 2020, but the winner’s price has already been revealed; $40.000 and a chance to be on the front cover of a high ranking magazine.

Best of luck if you will participate, but don’t forget to sign up before you start!
