Official launch trailer of Mortal Kombat 11 released

In a few more days, more specifically the 23rd of April, the newest installment in the Mortal Kombat franchise will be releasing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. The official launch trailer of Mortal Kombat 11 has been released today and it features a remix of Techno Syndrome, an iconic and culturally significant part of the Mortal Kombat franchise. The remix was mixed by none other than DJ Dimitri Vegas and 2WEI.

The trailer itself shows us that Kronika, the Keeper of Time, is trying to turn back the time to the beginning of history so that she can rewrite it. However, the balance must be restored, and it is your duty as the player to enter the realms and repair them. As players will be taking the roles of many different characters, an ultimate generation clash will commence when current fighters will be confronted with their alternative selves.

Aside from containing a cinematic storyline, the trailer also features the continuously growing line-up of playable characters in the upcoming installment, Mortal Kombat 11. Most famously are Scorpion, Raiden and Sub-Zero, but others have also joined the line-up such as Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Baraka, Geras, Kano, D’Vorah, Kabal, Jade, Johnny Cage, Cassie Cage, Erron Black, Jacqui Briggs, Kotal Kahn, Noob Saibot, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Jax Briggs, Cetrion, The Kollector, Kitana and Shao Kahn.

New gameplay will be revealed in a future Kombat Kast live stream hosted by NetherRealm this Monday, 22nd of April 2019 at 9 PM. If you want to view the live stream, you can do so on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Mixer. If you cannot wait for the new gameplay reveal, you can check out the launch trailer below.
