Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy coming to Europe

Another announcement from NIS America has come to our attention and it implies that the succesful dungeon RPG, Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy, will be coming to the West. It will arrive in North America on May 16, 2017 and in Europe on May 19, 2017 on the PlayStation Vita as both a physical and digital release. It will also receive a digital version on Steam.

Continuing after the story of Operation Abyss, you’ll be defending near-future Tokyo from a new threat in this dungeon crawling RPG. When a mysterious object, called ‘the Embryo’, appears in the sky, both the CPA and Xth Squad are mobilized to face off against this new threat.

Features:

  • Extensive Character Customisation: Expanding on Operation Abyss’ Blood Code system, you’ll be able to assign characters supplemental Blood Codes to create hybrid job classes.
  • Item-Attached Skills and Spells: Adding new skills and spells in order to perfect your squad by equipping items that grants them new abilities.
  • Balanced Challenge and Reward: With the return of the Rise & Drop system, you’ll be able to recover increasingly powerful drops, only if you’re willing to risk increasingly powerful enemies.
  • A New Operation to Complete: After a short period of peace in near-future Tokyo, you’ll be diving into the battlefield once again and continuing the story of the Xth Squad in a complete, new and mysterious adventure.

Being over 30 years old, I've been playing videogames since I've exchanged my pacifier for a game controller. I've only recently started reviewing games and it's incredibly fun to do and educational as I get to know a lot of new stuff about videogames and the industry. My favourite game genres are RPG's(strategy RPG, J-RPG,...), adventure, platforming, simulation and retro.
