Overcooked release date announced
Team17 and Ghost Town Games have revealed that the couch co-op cooking game Overcooked will be available for purchase next month for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In Overcooked, you can either choose to play solo or engage in classic, chaotic couch co-op for up to four players in co-op and competitive challenge modes. You must work as a team to whip up a variety of tasty orders- there’s no room for error here!
In the campaign mode, your quest is to become the ultimate top chef in order to save the endangered Onion Kingdom. From street festivals, to haunted houses, and even outer space, you’ll have have to cook a range of different dishes in each of these places to become the most successful chef.
Key features include:
- 28 standard campaign levels, plus introductory level and final boss
- Local co-op for 1-4 players across all campaign levels
- 9vs levels to head to head locally with 2 or 4 players
- Range of different and unusual kitchens, with different recipes to master- including soup, burritos, and fish and chips
- 14 different chefs to play as
- 11 achievements
Overcooked is currently available for pre-order on Steam and the PlayStation Store. Xbox One owners will be able to pre-order from the Xbox Games Store from the 20th of July. It will subsequently be released on the 3rd of August for purchase for €15,99 for the EU, $16.99 for the US, and £12.99 for the UK.
