Pixelatto has revealed the sequel to Reventure, and it’s not what you’d expect

Indie studio Pixelatto have announced the sequel to their successful “game of the 100 endings”, Reventure. In a surprising turn of events, this sequel will not come to players in the form of a video game, but as a board game instead. Reventure: Orbtale promises frantic board game action for up to four players, set in the same universe as its digital counterpart. Orbtale will feature the same vein of humor and parody, but brings along a new art style, with vector graphics with cartoonish aesthetics. In Reventure, you play as a hero set on a quest to gather the 4 magical orbs, which legend says grant a wish to whoever can bring them together. There is a total of 12 heroes, and each of them has a unique ability; throughout your adventure, you will find more than 40 weapons and magical artifacts to face your opponents.

Some of the key features are:
• A simultaneous turn-based system, which eliminates waiting times between turns.
• An easy “rock-paper-scissors” combat mechanic to ease the learning curve.
• Automatic resurrection mechanics so no one is left out of the game.
• Fast-paced and frantic playthroughs that last approximately 30 minutes.
• Made with Card Creator, a card creation software developed by Pixelatto.

Development of the board game is already underway but to finish this and proceed with production and distribution, a crowdfunding campaign is set to launch on Kickstarter later this month, on the 29th of April. A pre-launch campaign page is already up and running, so that anyone interested can sign up to be notified when the full campaign launches.
