Pokémon Day celebrates its 20th birthday with an iconic brand
On Tuesday the 27th of February 1996, fans of videogames were asked the age old question to choose between Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander. This marked the beginning of a worldwide phenomenon that has been holding its ground for 2 decades in different regions and on several platforms. Precisely 20 years later on Pokémon Day, Saturday the 27th of February, the adventure called Pokémon will celebrate its 20th birthday.
The Pokémon Booth app can now be downloaded for free in the App Store. Fans can now take portraits and adapt them. The app will also soon be available for Google Play.
The celebration wouldn’t be complete without some major news. On Friday the 26th of February at 15:00 GMT there will be a special Pokémon Direct presentation which can be watched by clicking here.
