Post-launch roadmap for future content has been revealed for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla!

The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla post-launch roadmap for future content has been revealed today. This shows a content plan that includes a Season Pass with two major expansions and lots of free seasonal content, including in-game events, new buildings for your settlement, and various game modes. In addition, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also receive a Discovery Tour, the educational tool that allows players to explore the conflict-free world of the game, available in 2021.

With the Season Pass, players will dive deeper into Eivor’s story, with two major narrative expansions and an exclusive mission. The Season Pass is available separately but is also part of the Gold, Ultimate, and Collector’s Editions of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The Season Pass gives players access to the following content:

  • The Legend of Beowulf quest: an exclusive mission in which players discover the gruesome truth behind the legend of Beowulf. This mission will be playable from the launch of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
  • Expansion 1 – Wrath of the Druids (Spring 2021): in this adventure, players travel to Ireland to unravel the secrets behind an ancient cult of druids. Surrounded by Gaelic myths and folklore, players must fight their way through the Irish landscape to rally power under the Gaelic kings.
  • Expansion 2 – The Siege of Paris (Summer 2021): n this adventure, players will have the chance to relive the most ambitious Viking battle ever – the attack on Paris. Infiltrate the city, take over the Seine, discover hostile secrets and form strategic alliances to secure the future of Eivor’s clan.

In addition, all players get access to a huge amount of free seasonal content. Each season lasts three months and brings new content aimed at gameplay and world development for all players.

The first season will launch in December 2020 and will introduce the following content:

  • Additions to the settlement, including a new area and a traditional Yule festival.
  • River Raids, a new game mode that offers players a new and challenging way of raiding.
  • Introducing ranks for the Jomsviking, the special Viking lieutenants who recruit friends and other community players. The higher a Jomsviking’s rank, the more silver players earn when recruited by someone else.
  • In addition, each season contains new skills, abilities, weapons, and equipment, as well as new cosmetic items for Eivor’s settlement, ship, horse, and raven.

The second season of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla launches in March 2021 and introduces a new game mode, a Jomsviking update, and much more. More information about the third and fourth seasons will follow at a later time.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be available for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Windows PC from the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store starting November 10, 2020. The game will also be available for PlayStation 5 with this console’s launch on November 19, 2020. Players who purchase Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on current consoles will receive a free next-gen upgrade to Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5. The game will also be part of UPLAY +, Ubisoft’s subscription service.
