Rainbow Six Benelux Cup set for October 26th

Ubisoft has announced that the Rainbow Six Benelux Cup is set to kick off on the 26th of October. In this tournament, eight teams will take on each other to determine who will go home with the grand prize of €4.000, after the grand finale concludes on November 18th. Of these eight teams, four were selected based on their performance during the Rainbow Six Benelux League. Three other teams will be selected through qualifications, and the final team will consist of the winners of the JBL Quantum Cup. The first round of qualifications will be played on September 24th and 25th and the second round is set for October 1st and 2nd. Play-offs on October 8th and 9th will determine who will make it to the Benelux cup.

The Benelux cup itself will be streamed live on Twitch. The cup starts with a group phase where the teams will be divided into two groups of four. They’ll take on one another in a “Best of 3”. The top two of each group will qualify for the finals. The four best teams will duke it out to make it to the semi-finals, before moving on to the grand finale. Commentary will be provided by Thiadrik ‘Toldersma’ Oldersma, Anthony ‘Anthox’ Kremer and Anne ‘FastAnne’ Janssen. Taking on the part of observer is Stephan ‘Easy’ Kemink and production will be handled by Erwin Bosma. The winners of the Benelux Cup will take home the grand prize of €4.000. The team that takes second place receives €2.000 and teams 3 and 4 will receive €1.000 each from the €10.000 prize money. The remaining €2.000 will be split between the other teams based on fair play.
