Release date announced for Monkey King: Hero is Back
Today, THQ Nordic has announced that Monkey King: Hero is Back will be coming to PC and PlayStation 4 on the 17th of October. A special Hero Edition will also be released including the game’s Season Pass and several in-game items.
Monkey King: Hero is Back is based on the Chinese action-fantasy movie with the same name that was released in theaters in 2015. This game tells the story of a young boy named Liuer and his adventures with the Monkey King, Sun Wukong, who is released after having been imprisoned for 500 years, the same story of the movie. The difference is that the game places the focus on the Monkey King himself.
Pre-orders for both editions on PlayStation 4 can be made as of today. The PlayStation 4 versions will feature a special bonus for those who pre-order the game, two exclusive game modes called ‘Paradise’ and ‘Desperation’ plus a theme for your console. PC gamers have to wait until October 19 to pre-order the game.
