Rocket League – Partnership With WWE

Rocket League developer Psyonix and WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) announced a partnership which will increase the visibility and consumer engagement of Rocket league across the platforms globally available to WWE, including television, digital and social media, and on the WWE Network streaming service.

The award-winning futuristic sports-action game Rocket League is a crazy combination of arcade-style soccer and rocket-powered cars with fast and comprehensible controls and fluid, physics-driven competition. Available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam, Rocket League features single player and local or online multiplayer modes, extensive Battle-Car customization combinations, and cross-platform gameplay.

Rocket League will be a presenting partner of several upcoming WWE pay-per-view events like Backlash, Great Balls of Fire & the WWE Women’s Tournament, and a promotional partner of WWE’s biggest event of the summer, SummerSlam. Rocket League creative will air across several networks and channels commonly used by WWE, both on television networks, digital and social channels, including Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live on USA Network. The popular WWE YouTube gaming channel UpUpDownDown will dedicate six episodes to Rocket League, hosted by WWE Superstar Xavier Woods.

The community around Rocket League currently surpasses 31 million players, and through this new partnership, fans at upcoming WWE live events will have the opportunity to play Rocket League at arenas across the U.S. The partnership between Psyonix and WWE will bring the wrestling fan-base and Rocket League gaming fan-base together, which have already proven to overlap, according to both Psyonix and WWE.
