Root Letter coming to Europe and North America
Root letter, originally titled √Letter, is a stunning visual novel from Kadokawa Games. The game is set to release somewhere in this year for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita consoles and will be available in Europe and North America. Boasting beautiful character artwork from Mina Taro and some of Japan’s fan-favorite voice actresses, Root Letter is said to be one of the most exciting additions to the visual novel genre.
Set in Shimane – a place rich in history, culture and natural beauty – the game revolves around the mystery of Fumino Aya, an old penpal that has gone missing 15 years ago. Her final letter arrived 15 years overtime, revealing a murder confession. You, as the player, will need to figure out what has become of her all those years ago. Clues can be found in previous letters as well as testimonies from seven witnesses who once knew her. The biggest mystery you’ll need to unravel is whether or not she told the truth in her letters and if she truly did murder someone.
