Sennheiser reveal their new flagship earphones
If you’re in the market for a new pair of earphones, you could do far, far worse than Sennheiser’s new IE 900 set. The audio gear brand detailed their new model, which is aimed at audiophiles, today. The IE 900 headphones combine technical innovation, an eye for detail and extreme perfectionism to offer an audio experience without compromise. All parts of these in-ear headphones, which are produced in Germany, were designed with synergy in mind to ensure the desired acoustic fine-tuning and to reduce resonance and masking. They make use of Sennheisers proprietary X3R-transducer, a refined version of the Extra Wide band-driver for audiophiles with a 7mm diameter and a unique system for three-chamber attenuation. The result is crystal clear sound reproduction with natural high tones that reveals the most subtle details in music.
Admittedly, purchasing the IE 900 set isn’t for the faint-hearted. The audiophile earphones have a recommended retail price of an eye-watering €1299. For that price, however, you’re getting a top-of-the-line audiophile experience without comparison. The IE 900 earphones are available for preorder now through the official Sennheiser website and are set to launch on the 1st of June.
