Sony Interactive Entertainment introduces PlayStation Classic
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced that the PlayStation Classic will be released on December 3th 2018. It is a miniature-game console with the looks of the original PlayStation and will include 20 original games in Japan, North-America and Europe. The PlayStation Classic will be available in Europe for €99,99.
The original PlayStation made its debut on December 3th 1994 and had a great impact on the gaming industry in the nineties and later. The design of the PlayStation Classic is a look-a-like of the original PlayStation including the keys and controllers. But due to its miniature size it is 45% smaller on the sides and 80% in volume. It is provided with twenty pre-installed games like Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, R4 Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms. PlayStation Classic appeals to both the original PlayStation fans and with the new gamers who want to discover the classic PlayStation Games from the nineties.
PlayStation Classic will include a HDMI cable for a connection with external displays and a USB cable for connection with a USB AC-adapter (not included). Players can play with or against their friends with two included controllers.
