Tablet version for Skylanders Trap Team revealed
The guys behind Skylanders Trap Team today revealed something very interesting. Together with the release of the console version of the game, a tablet version is coming out as well. Not just a tablet version but the complete game will be playable on Android, iOS and Kindle Fire tablets.
Activision Publishing is claiming they will be able to bring the whole Skylanders experience to the tablet, including console quality graphics. You will be able to seamlessly switch between the game on the multiple platforms as well as taking with you your skills and captured bad guys. You’ll also be able to buy a Skylanders themed pack including a Bluetooth controller together with other Bluetooth toys and a bunch of other goodies. The Bluetooth toys will also be cross-platform compatible.
What a very interesting route the developers are taking here. Might this be the way gaming will happen in the future? Expect Skylanders Trap Team on consoles as well as iOS, Android and Fire Kindle tablets on October the 10th, later this year.
