Take a trip through the stars on December fifth with Star Ocean First Departure R
Square Enix Ltd. Announced the release date for Star Ocean First Departure R earlier today, December fifth will de the day to walk among the stars.
This is not the first time we have seen First Departure R, since it released way back on the PSP. Now it will be remastered for PS4 and Switch. It portrays the story of a young sword master called Roddick, who goes on a trip with his allies in hopes of finding a cure for a deadly disease that is running rampant. This ends up being an adventure of a lifetime.
Some improvements in the remaster are:
- Full Voice-overs, choose between the Japanese or English voice acting from the PSP game or the Japanese voice cast that was used on the Super Famicon version that was only available in Japan.
- New Character Illustrations, choose between the original look or a brand-new look
- Speed Mode, speeds up the game, allowing you to move around faster
- Adjusted game-balancing, offers you more challenging and fair fights, worthy of being in the Star Ocean Series
People who pre-order on PS4 will receive an exclusive theme with brand new illustrations at launch and a digital mini-soundtrack.
