The 25th QuakeCon will be held at your house!
Bethesda has officially announced that QuakeCon’s 25th edition will be a digital-only event. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, QuakeCon will be held as a worldwide online event. This event will run from the 7th until the 9th of August offering three days of live streams from all over the world. Viewers can expect tournaments, of course as well as the traditional charity fundraiser that has become a QuakeCon mainstay. The BYOC, QuackeCon’s throbbing heart, goes virtual and will unite fans through Twitch Teams.
Viewers can tune in on the 7th of August at 18:00 to join Bethesda’s QuakeCon Digital Welcome before being able to enjoy a surprise-filled streaming schedule. Special influencer streams, surprises, and content from Bethesda’s worldwide community teams will be streamed from home and will support a variety of charities. Meanwhile, players that want to get in on the action can register to join the QuakeCon Twitch Home Team. More details on how to register will be released soon. Then there’s the Esports tournament, where the 24 best players from around the globe will take on each other in order to bring home the $150.000 prize as well as the title of season champion. Finally, QuakeCon will be offering exclusive merch, including special t-shirts, with proceeds going to Dallas Pets Alive and FOUR PAWS.
