The Banner Saga – The epic journey is coming to the Switch!
Fans of The Banner Saga and owners of a Switch rejoice! Stoic and Versus Evil have announced that the epic journey is being released for the Nintendo Switch.
The Banner Saga is a role-playing strategy game where your choices as a player determine where the story will end up. Making the right choices is key since the survival of an entire civilization depends on it.
“Launching The Banner Saga on Nintendo Switch is an exciting moment for us, as we gear up in 2018 to enter the third and final chapter of the series it’s only fitting we give Nintendo players an opportunity to enjoy this award-winning Viking inspired saga where the journey begins.” Said Steve Escalante, General Manager of Versus Evil.
In The Banner Saga, a cast full of unforgettable characters can be found throughout the epic adventure. The game has a unique tactical combat system that will also determine how the story continues.
“We’ve always strived to share this epic series and the narrative of the saga across a variety of platforms and we are thrilled to now bring the Banner Saga to a whole new community of console players on the Nintendo Switch,” said John Watson, Technical Director at Stoic.
Featured in the game is also a beautiful 2D art style and unique animations, which causes the Viking inspired Saga to stand out even more. The Banner Saga has already been nominated several times and has even won several awards.
The Banner Saga is already available on Steam (PC), PS4, Xbox One, iPad and iPhone through the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon. The Nintendo Switch version will be released on the 17th of May 2018.
