Tony Hawk returns in Pro Skater 5
Thirteen long years it’s been since we saw the release of a new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. It won’t be long now, however, as Robomondo and Disruptive Games have announced that they are currently developing the fifth game in the series for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The game is to reinvigorate the style of the classic series and will focus on high-scores, perfect techniques and a wide array of challenges. The Pro Skater franchise has always been about an over the top arcade experience, a feature that is accentuated this time with the aid of power-ups and projectile items.
In addition to allowing players to create their own skater, current skate pros have been confirmed to appear as playable characters as well: Tony Hawk, Nyjah Huston, Riley Hawk, Aaron Homoki, Ishod Wair, Leticia Bufoni, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Andrew Reynolds and Lizzie Armanto will all be subjected to the guidance of your fingertips.
Modern times come with modern technologies, so it should come as no surprise that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will pack online multiplayer modes, both friendly and competitively. Creative types will be able to build their own skateparks and share them with the community as well.
