Trailer released for the multiplayer Space Survival game Hellion

Hellion is a first-person space survival multiplayer sandbox game, featuring an immersive storyline, engaging gameplay mechanics and intense multiplayer action. Everyone, ranging from lone wolves, co-op players and deadly villains, needs to find a way to survive in the hostile universe.

The new trailer released by the indie game developer Zero Gravity shows the survival mechanics and multiplayer component of the upcoming game Hellion, expected to appear for PC in Steam Early Access in January 2017.

Hellion is a solar system thousands of light-years from Earth. A million of colonists were send to Hellion in the first interstellar colonization mission of the 23rd century. The colonists, suspended in cryogenic hibernation, wake up a century later and find themselves trapped in a nightmare. They are surrounded by devastation, debris and ruined space stations, instead of grand habitats and planets waiting to receive new settlers. Several places are still functional which you as a colonist can use to survive, like small outposts and shuttle crafts. However, all systems show signs of extensive wear and without immediate repair the colonists will soon run out of air, fuel and power. To survive, colonists will need to obtain tools and resources elsewhere.

A rescue operation would take half a century, and with no trace of UN officials, corporate representatives, engineers, scientists or law enforcement troops, colonists need to learn to survive on their own. They might turn to scavenging, stealing or even outright violence. Others may try to live in a more civilized way and cooperate with fellow survivors. Eventually the colonists can begin to uncover the truth behind the largest disaster in human history.
