Two new Borderlands 3 Skill Trees unveiled ahead of the Designer’s Cut launch on November 10

Get ready for a level up, Vault Hunters! Last week, 2K announced that the new Designer’s Cut add-on is coming to Borderlands 3 on November 10. Today, the Borderlands Creator Team had more big news and unveiled two major pieces of content that will be available as part of that add-on: the brand new Skill Trees for Vault Hunters Amara and FL4K.

Players looking for fresh and exciting new ways to experience the shooting and looting content of Borderlands 3 can use the power of these additional Skill Trees to create their own unique Vault Hunter build. Each Skill Tree offers a new Action Skill and new passive abilities that you can combine with existing skills to create new ways to play every bonafide badass.

Amara’s new Phaseflare Action Skill conjures a gigantic, controllable orb of elemental destruction that she manages to make her opponents bloody difficult. Meanwhile, her Enlightened Force Skill Tree freezes her enemies using Cryo elemental effects, completing her toolkit with natural elements. The passive abilities in the Enlightened Force tree help maximize her elemental damage and slow enemies so they can give up hope of evading her Phaseflare.

FL4K gets reliable crowd control with its new Gravity Snare Action Skill. This long-lasting skill will occasionally throw nearby enemies into the air and interrupt their attacks before throwing them to the ground. The passive abilities in the Trapper Skill Tree give FL4K and its companion huge survivability through shield bonuses, as well as extra damage from increased critical hit effects.

But that is not everything! Tune in to twitch.tv/borderlands on Thursday, October 22 at 6:00 PM CEST to see Moze and Zane’s new Skill Trees in action for the first time ever. Then a week later, watch the premiere of the latest episode of The Borderlands Show on Thursday, October 29 at 5:00 PM CET. This episode features the full reveal of the new Arms Race mode plus developer interviews and much more.

Both Arms Race and the new Skill Trees are part of the Designer’s Cut add-on. Designer’s Cut requires a copy of Borderlands 3 to play and can be purchased separately or as part of Season Pass 2. Season Pass 2 includes two all-new downloadable content add-ons – Designer’s Cut and Director’s Cut – and will be available for purchase starting November 10 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/Series S, Google Stadia, and Windows PC. The Designer’s Cut expansion will launch on November 10 at the same time as the second Season Pass, while Director’s Cut is scheduled for release in Spring 2021.

And don’t forget, Borderlands 3‘s next-gen upgrade will launch simultaneously with both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/Series S. The next-gen version of the game will be playable for Xbox Series X/Series S on November 10, while the PlayStation 5 version will be made available on November 19 when this console launches in the Benelux. All players who own or purchase both a copy of the game and a next-gen console can download the upgrade for free within the same console family.
