11 Bit Studios announce their latest narrative experience
Developer 11 bit studios has announced their partnership with British BAFTA-winning studio State of Play to create the latest game in their portfolio. South of the Circle is a narrative-driven experience featuring a story set in the midst of the Cold War, soon to come out on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
In South of the Circle, players will follow the story of Peter. Tangled in life-defining choices and torn between his career and true love, he finds himself in the middle of strife between military powers. Set during the Cold War, the game’s story stretches between past and present featuring a minimalist aesthetic with a focus on writing and voice acting.
“South of the Circle is one of those love-at-first-sight things,” says Marek Ziemak, External Development Director at 11 bit studios. “The game’s narrative and artistic sensitivity immediately captivated us. South of the Circle is heavily-focused on storytelling inspired by world-class cinema, which makes it a bit different from our previous titles.
