Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call Announced
Squary Enix announced a successor to Theathrythm Final Fantasy set to release later this year for the Nintendo 3DS. Curtain Call promises Final Fantasy fans a whole lot, including over 200 tracks and at least 60 characters from within the franchise.
It might not sound promising at first, combining RPG-elements with a rhythm game, but it actually makes a lot of sense. Music has always played a major role in the Final Fantasy franchise. In Theathrythm the roles get turned around, where in your conventional game the focus would be on the RPG-section empowered by music and other elements, it now is on music which uses RPG-gameplay to spice things up.
Theathrythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call will offer modes like Versus Battle Mode and Quest Medley Mode. Also players will be able to collect cards on their adventures that will allow them to improve their character’s statistics.
