Back 4 Blood Is Back With A Swarm Of Different Zombies!
Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios released two Back 4 Blood trailers yesterday, featuring the new competitive PvP mode ‘Swarm’. The trailer shows how this mode connects to the cooperative campaign elements of the game, with heart-pounding action and its own twist on team strategy games. In Swarm mode, two teams of four compete in a series of rounds with the best of three defining the win, while teams change between the Cleaners (humans) and the Ridden (zombies). Points are awarded based on how long the Cleaners can stay alive and endure waves and waves from the Ridden in a specific time period. The team with the longest time as the Cleaners wins the match.
In the second trailer, Back 4 Blood unveils the different types of Ridden that can be played in the new ‘Swarm’ mode. While playing as the Ridden, players can choose from nine different types of Ridden, including the Tallboy, Bruiser, Crusher, Reeker, Exploder, Retch, Stinger, Hocker, and Stalker. Each type of Ridden has its own unique abilities that can be upgraded with improvements, called mutations, that can be used collectively to help the team and gain the upper hand over the course of the match.
