Timemelters Starts A Kickstarter Campaign To Fund Extra Features
Timemelters, an action time-bending action-RTS hybrid from developer Autoexec Games, has launched a Kickstarter campaign in an effort to expand the scope of the title. For the game’s announcement on Steam Early Access later this year, Aotoexec Games requires some additional support for a slew of extra features planned for the title.
Directed by co-creator Vincent Blanchard (also known for Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves), Timemelters is a completely original action-RTS hybrid that allows players to experience single and co-op modes throughout its entire 20-mission campaign. The player will be put in the shoes of a Witch named Teagan, who is trying to stop a mysterious undead uprising from taking over her village in the dark and corrupted lands of Hogendale. This is loosely based on events that have occurred in Scotland in the 16th century.
Timemelters brings a huge arsenal of strategic powers that combine immediate third-person character action games with RTS and tower defense gameplay, as you zip around the map setting up defenses using a mix of AI companions, mind-controlled foes, and echoes of your past self. Players will have to use their full arsenal of magical abilities if they’re to protect Hogendale!
The game has been in development for three years and most of the game is almost completed with its single-player campaign already at the 85% mark. The Kickstarter campaign will be used to fund extra features, such as a Challenge Mode that offers extra replay value, voice acting, extra language options, more playable characters, controller support, and even console ports. Supporters will be awarded beta test keys and are also given the opportunity to leave feedback on what changes they’d like to see in the future of the game.
