WWI survival horror game Trenches releases next week
Times of war are always very frightening. Death lurks around every corner and bombs fall around your head. But what if the opposing force isn’t the biggest threat to look out for? Developer Steelkrill Studio’s Trenches is a survival horror game set during the first World War. In it, you play as a soldier stuck inside the trenches behind enemy lines. It all starts when you wake up from an explosion, everything is in ruins, you find a picture of your family and the only thing on your mind right now is to survive.
Unfortunately, these trenches are not deserted. There is a monster down there and it is on the lookout for unwanted guests. If you ever want to see your family again then you will need to use everything at your disposal to find your way through the maze filled with puzzles. You’ll also be on the hunt for clues. Luckily you have a little whistle that can point you in the right direction. Be careful though, as the monster also hears you using it and will know where you are. To keep the gameplay exciting no run will be the same as objectives will be randomized each playthrough.
