After five years, Green Hell gets its final content update
Developer Creepy Jar has announced that the final update for their survival game Green Hell is now available on PC. This 21st free update, titled Decorations, marks the conclusion of five years of continuous content additions to the game. The team expressed gratitude to the community for their ongoing support throughout this journey. The Decorations update introduces several new features, including a craftable decorations table, painted furniture, mounted animals and trophies, new construction options, lighting enhancements, and more. The team enjoyed developing this update, with members contributing ideas for additional content.
Key content in the final update includes:
- New Mechanic – Painting: Players can now create paints from various bugs and other colorful elements to decorate their base and furniture. The Amazonian color palette includes white, blue, red, green, and yellow.
- New Construction – Workbench: The Workbench allows players to craft various decorations, such as tables, chairs, benches, nightstands, and paintings. Animal Trophies, as well as rope, leaf, and bone decorations, can also be crafted.
- New Construction – Armor Stand & Arrow Holder: These new stands enable players to securely store arrows and display their crafted armor.
- New Construction – Torch Stand & Torch Holder: Torch Holders can be placed inside the base to create ambiance, while Torch Stands can be used strategically in the wilderness for navigation.
- New Mechanic – Rearranging: Players can now rearrange and move decorations as desired, allowing for more customization of their base.
Since its Early Access launch in 2018, Green Hell has grown into a prominent title in the survival game genre, thanks to regular updates and a dedicated community. The team at Creepy Jar thanked players for their continued support over the past five years. While the Decorations update concludes major content additions, Creepy Jar will gradually continue to provide technical support for Green Hell as they shift their focus to developing their upcoming open-world base-building game, StarRupture.
