StarVaders launches its demo and you could win a copy of the full game
The battle for Earth is about to begin in StarVaders, a new tactical card game from developer Pengonauts and publisher Joystick Ventures. In StarVaders, players must strategically overcome waves of alien invaders on a grid-based battlefield, using cards to maneuver their mechs and attack. Players can build their deck from over 300 available cards, artifacts, and upgrades to gain the upper hand. They can push their strategy further by using the Overheat mechanic to play an extra card at the cost of making the mech unplayable for the remainder of the fight, granting the enemy a turn. Mistakes can be reversed using Chrono Tokens, which allow time rewinds for improved strategic planning. A limited-time demo for StarVaders launches today, ahead of Steam Next Fest. This demo features an exclusive pilot, Shun, who commands the Stinger Mech. The demo also introduces a new soundtrack by PlasterBrain.
Players can participate in the Raffle Challenge during Steam Next Fest, with a chance to win one of 100 game keys for the full version of StarVaders. To enter, players must complete the demo with all pilots, finish on the new Challenger difficulty, and share their experiences on social media with the #StarVaders tag. There will also be daily speedrun competitions with prizes. The limited-time demo of StarVaders is now available on PC via Steam, released in advance of Steam Next Fest, which runs from October 14 to October 21.
