LEGO Dimensions will be free to play in Adventure Worlds

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced that LEGO Dimensions, the long-awaited entertainment experience that will feature building structures out of LEGO blocks, will be free to play in Adventure Worlds.

Next to the main story in the game, players can also tag along a heroic journey through universa as The Simpsons and Doctor Who to save the LEGO Multiverse. Players also get access to 14 different Adventure Worlds. Each character in LEGO Dimensions, among which the 3 Starter Pack characters and Expansion Pack character, can op corresponding Adventure Worlds of the same brand. With this players receive access to extra gameplay content, which is based on that respective franchise.

Players get immediate access to 3 unique Adventure Worlds based on DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings en The LEGO Movie. These Adventure Worlds can be opened by one of the 3 heroes from the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack: LEGO Batman can open the DC Comics Adventure World, LEGO Gandalf The Lord of the Rings Adventure World and Wyldstyle The LEGO Movie Adventure World. A character from the same franchise coming out of the LEGO Dimensions Level Packs, Team Packs and Fun Packs can open the remaining Adventure Worlds.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has also revealed a Ghostbusters Level Pack containing a LEGO Peter Venkman figurine and Ghostbusters Fun Packs containing LEGO Stay Puft and LEGO Slimer figurines.

LEGO Dimensions will be available on September 29th 2015 and will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii U.
