Rocket League – Chaos Run DLC Pack – Review
Rocket League is back with more content! After some previous releases of DLC Packs (which can be found right here on our site), we’re taking a look at yet another DLC Pack. This time we’re looking at the Chaos Run DLC Pack which features a whole load of new items to customize your vehicles even more.
This DLC Pack brings yet another load of items into your item pool to make your ride even sweeter. First of all, we’ll talk about all of the changes that happened since the previous time we’ve reviewed a Rocket League product, then we’ll look at what makes this DLC totally worth it.
There’s been a lot of changes since we last had a look at this game, the most important ones are game settings and a new map! The game settings, accessible as “Mutators” allow you to change a variety of settings to spice up your game. You can set match length, max score, game speed, ball speed, ball shape, bounciness, gravity and many many more. There’s also some preset Mutators that are definitely worth checking out, like the Beach Ball setting, which pretty much gives you a giant floaty ball. There’s all sorts of crazy stuff you can do, even making the ball square if you want to. Furthermore there’s the new Wasteland map, which brings a whole new type of arena to Rocket League. It’s unlike any arena that has been released: the arena has a different ground shape and boosters are found on completely different places.
Then, you have another free update which brings some Portal-themed items into the game. It features cake hats, new boosts, decals, a Companion Cube antennae and all sorts of great new stuff.
Last but not least we’ve got the actual DLC Pack, which brings you a total of 26 new items. It has two new Battle-Cars: Ripper and Grog, 12 new decals (6 for each new car), new paint types, new wheels and of course rocket trails, toppers and antennas, pretty much the usual. The new cars look great and have awesome wheels to accompany them, they also fit together perfectly with the new sandy arena you can play on. To go together with this, you can use Camo and Sun-Damaged paint to blend in even more. The new rocket trails are also pretty sweet: Nuts & Bolts and Sandstorm (Rocket League needs Darude – Sandstorm now). The rest of the items are pretty sweet as well but aren’t going to blow your mind like usual with toppers and antenna’s.
Conclusion
Rocket League – Chaos Run DLC Pack brings yet another great item pack to the Rocket League universe. It features great cars, rocket trails and paint types. Also, the team isn’t only working on making Rocket League “DLC Galore”, because there have also been some pretty sweet updates like some free Portal items, a new arena and of course awesome game Mutators.
