The Goonies, Harry Potter en LEGO City to be added to LEGO Dimensions
Three new expansion packs will be released for LEGO Dimensions: The Goonies-Level pack, the Harry Potter-Fun Pack and the LEGO City-Fun Pack.
Lego Dimensions is a Lego-themed action-adventure game developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game is available for PlayStation 3 & PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 & Xbox One, and Wii U. The LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack was released in 2015, and can be expanded with many different packs: Story Packs, Level Packs, Team Packs and Fun Packs. The packs allow you to add different worlds, characters, stories and items to the LEGO videogame, which you can all use and combine to defeat the evil Lord Vortech.
The figures contained in the physical LEGO packs can be put on an interactive base which then can be placed onto the LEGO Toy Pad to activate them in the game. The LEGO Toy Pad, which ports the physical toys into the virtual world, is included in the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack. The figurines contained in the expansion packs can be used with any platform. Each vehicle and gadget can be re-built into three different items, both in the virtual world and in the real world.
Adding these packs to LEGO Dimensions will enable these players to mix and match their favorite characters and worlds in the game. These packs contain a LEGO mini-figurine with which a player can enter a themed Battle Arena and unlock the adventure world for the brand matching the pack the figurine is from.
The Goonies Level Pack includes a whole level of The Goonies gameplay in which players can re-live the iconic 80’s movie, playing as either Sloth or Chunk. This Pack contains a mini-figurine of Sloth, One-Eyed Willy’s Pirate Ship and the Skeleton Organ which can be rebuilt into other powerful items. Unlocking the adventure world will enable players to explore Mikey’s House, Inferno Cove and the Goon Docks. Once the Goonies gameplay level is completed, the player can use several other of the Goonies characters to play through the game!
The Harry Potter-Fun Pack contains a magic wielding Hermione Granger mini-figurine, and a rideable hippogriff mount which can be rebuilt into different kinds of fantastical beasts. Unlocking the adventure world will enable players to explore Hogwarts, Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.
The LEGO City-Fun Pack contains the mini-figurine of Chase McCain with his LEGO City Detective Scanner, and the Police Helicopter which can be rebuilt into different kinds of awesome vehicles. Unlocking the adventure world will enable players to explore Blackwell’s moon base and the LEGO City Police Department.
