A new trailer for Cronos: The New Dawn has been revealed at Gamescom!
During Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, Bloober Team revealed their new cinematic trailer for Cronos: The New Dawn, a third-person survival horror game. It’s set in Nowa Huta, Kraków, and is presented across two contrasting timelines: a post-apocalyptic future and its industrial reality in the 1980s. During the reveal, the central figure of the game, The Traveler, made a dramatic appearance in full cosplay, blurring the line between game and reality.
The trailer plunges us into the eerie ruins of New Dawn, starting with a mysterious scene in which you’ll see the world from a cat’s perspective. This creates a frightening feel as you watch everything from the ground up, turning the familiar into the surreal. The trailer then transitions to cinematic images of The Traveler, whose journey is the main focus of the game. A confrontation is shown between him and the Orphans, who are monsters that plague what’s left of the world. Additionally, in the background, the soundtrack “Sixteen Days/Gathering Dust” from This Mortal Coil plays, adding even more tension.
Cronos: The New Dawn will release September 5, 2025, on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Switch 2.
