Acolyte of the Altar, a deck-building beast-slaying card game, coming soon
Single-player roguelike deckbuilding game Acolyte of the Altar is a game that’s inspired by Magic: The Gathering and Shadow of the Colussus. In this game, you can choose your path from one fight to the next, as victories grant you an extra card of your choice and you never know what beast or otherworldly creature awaits you next. It seems that Acolyte of the Altar has more to offer though, as gameplay elements also include severing your opponent’s limbs to make sure they can’t use certain powers and bringing body parts to “the Patron” to get new stuff. In case the battle goes on for too long, the beasts you fight also get enraged, meaning it will get a lot harder, so think fast! If this all sounds interesting to you, we have a heap of good news for you. For one, the game will be released on Steam on March 25th, 2024.
