Alisa heads to consoles next month

Publisher Top Hat Studios, Inc. and developer Casper Croes are excited to announce the global release date for their highly anticipated survival horror game, Alisa, on consoles. This cult-classic 90’s homage has garnered favor among retro, low-poly, and survival horror enthusiasts, offering an authentic throwback to PS1 and N64 style gaming, complete with pre-rendered backgrounds, a 480p resolution (with ongoing exploration into rendering in an impressive 240p), and fixed camera angles. To enhance player experience, the game provides the option to choose between classic tank controls or modern control styles. Originally developed in Unity 5, an almost decade-old version of the popular engine, Alisa required several engine and technological innovations to ensure compatibility with modern consoles. The game faithfully runs on all platforms, and the port team takes pride in the final result. The console version of Alisa arrives as a Developer’s Cut which encompasses all updates and new content previously introduced in the PC version, along with numerous fixes and quality-of-life optimizations.

FEATURES:

  • Classic Survival Horror gameplay
  • Authentic pre-rendered backgrounds and low-poly models in a 480p resolution
  • Currency, items, and outfits with unique player stat boosts
  • Weapon load-outs, ranging from a saber to a blunderbuss to an SMG
  • A diverse range of enemies and locations with surprises around every corner
  • The choice between modern or classic tank-controls movement styles
  • A unique sense of humor
  • A nostalgic journey to the late 1990s, capturing the essence of the era, including voice acting.

Alisa is scheduled for release on February 6th, 2024 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
