Alone in the Dark gets a new release date
The highly anticipated release of Alone in the Dark has been strategically rescheduled away from the crowded October 2023 launch window. The development team has chosen to delay the release to avoid competing with other major releases in October 2023. The spine-chilling horror game will now be unleashed on January 16th, 2024, ensuring it receives the attention it deserves. The extended development time also allows the team to refine every aspect of the game, ensuring it delivers a spine-tingling and immersive experience.
Alone in the Dark pays homage to the original classic while introducing fresh elements. Players can step into the shoes of either Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood and explore a world where Psychological Horror meets Southern Gothic. Set in the 1920s South, the game follows Emily Hartwood’s search for her missing uncle, aided by private investigator Edward Carnby. Their journey takes them to Derceto Manor, a residence for the mentally ill hiding dark secrets. Players will encounter peculiar residents, nightmarish realms, and formidable monsters. As the story unfolds, the plot of rising evil becomes apparent, challenging players’ beliefs and choices. Developed by Pieces Interactive in Sweden, Alone in the Dark will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 on January 16th, 2024.
