Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster arrives on PC
Today, Bandai Namco Europe S.A.S. released Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster, a remastered version of the classic Nintendo GameCube franchise on PC. The game is available in a Month 1 Edition, which includes concept art, character designs, and development documents. This edition will be available until July 17, 2024. After that date, the standard version of the game will be released. Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster updates the two popular games from about 20 years ago with improved visuals and new gameplay features, while preserving the essence of the original games.
The first Baten Kaitos game, subtitled Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, follows the story of Kalas, who seeks revenge for the deaths of his brother and grandfather. He meets Xelha, and together they embark on a journey to defeat the Alphard Empire. The sequel, Baten Kaitos Origins takes place 20 years before the events of the first game. Sagi, a spiriter connected to Guardian Spirits and part of the Alfard Empire’s elite Dark Service unit, sets out on a journey to clear his name after being framed and to uncover the Empire’s secrets. Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster is available on Steam and was previously already released on Nintendo Switch.
