Within the very broad Booq line-up, we get to review one of their latest products: the Booq Taipan Jumpsuit 11. While the product isn’t extremely innovating, it brings together some of the various Booq features we have come to expect. Read all about this handy sleeve for 11” MacBook Airs, Chromebooks and various netbooks.

The most striking feature about this sleeve is probably its design. While the colour is just black, it’s covered in a honeycomb pattern. The inside is grey, constructed out of a soft-touch material. Besides the main compartment where you’ll be able to store an 11” device, there’s also a side compartment which will be able to hold some accessories like a charging cable and a mouse. Overall there is some pretty substantial padding which will make sure your device survives your trips in one piece. The honeycomb pattern on the outside of the sleeve should also protect itself against wear over time.

On the top of the sleeve there are 2 handles which makes the Taipan Jumpsuit 11 very easy to carry around. While it’s good that these are there, it would’ve been nice to be able to remove the handles. That way the Jumpsuit could be used both as a classic sleeve and a carrying case.

Conclusion

The Booq Taipan Jumpsuit strives to be a sleeve/carrying case hybrid and does so fairly successfully. The only drawback here is that the carrying handles are non-removable. What you do get: interesting honeycomb design, extra compartment for accessories, substantial padding and that all out of quality materials.
